Hello! My name is Lindsay Dunnells and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in New Jersey and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with psychotherapy privileges’ (LCSW-R) in New York. Since 2007 I have worked as a behavioral health clinician providing individual, family, and group services that focus primarily on substance use disorders, healthy relationships, anger and stress management, depression and anxiety, and communication challenges. I generally employ an eclectic approach to working with clients, based on their presenting needs, including Cognitive and Rational Emotive Behavioral therapies, psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing/Motivational Enhancement Therapy, and mindfulness -based techniques. I strive to provide services in a manner that is client centered and solution focused, honoring the unique experiences in each individuals life. Therapy should be a place where you feel seen, heard, and comfortable, allowing you to share openly, cultivate self awareness, and develop self efficacy applying tools developed to achieve your goals. I serve as your objective individual to guide and support you on your journey toward achieving your goals. I honor the strength and courage it takes to begin therapy and look forward to embarking on the journey with you.
