I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist who has been providing individual, group and family therapy for adults and children for over 15 years. My journey in social work began in the early 90’s, working with adults living with HIV and AIDS. I quickly came to love engaging with clients in homes, schools, clinics, and other settings- helping them with a wide range of concerns- including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD- related issues; Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays; family conflicts, and Parenting issues (I am a certified Triple P- Positive Parenting provider), and more . I have received specialized training in several modalities, and employ a variety of approaches, depending on a client’s concerns and experiences- including Cognitive-Behavioral and Trauma-Focused Therapy; Solution-Focused Therapy, Dyadic and other varieties of play therapy, and more. When COVID first began to directly impact us, I learned to adapt (along with the rest of the world!), moving swiftly to providing services by video chat and phone, depending on our clients’ needs. One of the first things I learned was the absolute necessity of “starting where the client is” toward building a trusting, therapeutic relationship based on listening and caring; without judgement. Our working goals will come directly from you- because the power for healing (and optimal emotional, spiritual and mental health) is already within you. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
