Sherrie Bast (LCSW)

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida with more than 20 years of experience in the field, I have helped hospice patients work through end of life issues and I’ve worked with caregivers to address family conflicts, compassion fatigue and caregiver burnout. I’ve also helped people with depression and anxiety find ways to move through their emotional pain to live more comfortably in a difficult world. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community I have worked with clients in all phases of finding and embracing their place on the gender / orientation spectrum, as well as their friends and family members who may also be struggling to understand and/ or accept what this journey encompasses. I use a wide variety of modalities, including motivational interviewing, bibliotherapy, elements of narrative therapy and CBT techniques to break the cycle of anxiety and negative thought processes. My work is solution focused, and the direction we take is always decided by you, the client. There is no better time than now to reach out for support.
