I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, traumas, career challenges, self-esteem, and Addiction. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I hold a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work and an Associates Degree in Substance Use Disorder Counseling. I utilize person-centered therapy, which seeks to facilitate a client’s self-actualizing tendency, “an inbuilt proclivity toward growth and fulfillment,” via acceptance (unconditional positive regard), therapist congruence (genuineness), and empathic understanding. I am particularly interested in helping adults who have experienced trauma through Trauma-Focused CBT. I am also interested in DBT and treating self-esteem issues. I have a specialization in Alcohol and Other Drug (AODA) counseling and licensed to work with dual diagnoses. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. The greatest gift a person can give to another is truly listening to their life story, and I consider that an honor and privilege gave to me. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
