Ijeoma Onyejiaka (LPC)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with over 11 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, and I am a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Family Therapy. My clinical work focuses on the systemic treatment of emotional, relational, and trauma-related concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, mood-related challenges, and the lasting effects of trauma and PTSD. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy and Experiential Family Therapy, incorporating EMDR, Internal Family Systems, trauma-informed CBT, and acceptance-based interventions as clinically appropriate. My work is collaborative, culturally responsive, and attentive to how family dynamics, identity, faith, and life experiences influence mental health. I frequently support teens and adolescents, as well as couples and families, in navigating relationship difficulties, parenting stress, communication breakdowns, and major life transitions. My goal is to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, build healthier relationships, and develop sustainable coping strategies that promote long-term psychological well-being, clarity, and resilience.
