Lakawthra Cox (LPC)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 13 years of professional work experience, a previous Certified Canadian Counselor for 7 years, and a National Certified Counselor for the US. I have experience in helping clients (adults, teens, and children) with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. On a more personal note, I grew up in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Italy, and England). I am a military veteran and have helped people from all walks of life, so to speak. I have hosted international high school and college students, alike, from South Korea, The Philippines, Germany, Holland, Slovenia, Rwanda, India, and Columbia. I consider myself culturally empathetic and compassionate. I have worked to people from all different religious faiths including Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism. I enjoy helping others.
