I received my Masters’ of Social Work in 2010 from The University of Alabama and began my career working with the local homeless population my first year after graduate school. I later moved into clinical practice, working for a local organization, working with adult and adolescent clients experiencing mental health and substance abuse disorders. I have utilized evidence based practices with the following therapeutic modalities: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have a passion for fostering holistic well-being and I am dedicated to guiding individuals through their journey to mental and emotional harmony. I believe in addressing the whole person, recognizing personal strengths and the interconnected aspects that shape individual experiences. I seek to utilize the 8 pillars of holistic health (physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, occupational, and intellectual) by considering all the diverse factors that influence mental health. Live appointment times are typically 45 minute sessions, but can be 30 minutes. Please do your best to be on time for sessions. If you are 15 minutes late, you will need to reschedule. If you need to cancel and reschedule please do so at least 24 hours in advance. If there is a scheduling issue, please let me know as soon as possible, I will do what I can to accommodate. When preparing for a session, please do not be driving a vehicle or be involved in potentially dangerous or any other distracting activities (watching tv, etc). If you must be driving, please let me know ahead of time and we will reschedule. Please be appropriately dressed and mannered during sessions. Also, please be aware, that this is not for emergency services. If you feel like harming yourself, or anyone else, please call a family member, friend, 911, 988, or go to your nearest Emergency room.
