About Alisa Adams's service

I am here to support you with the challenges that you are experiencing at this time. I will guide you through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other creative approaches that I gained in my Counseling and Art Therapy graduate program at University of Illinois at Chicago. For over 15 years I have worked with families and adults individually and in groups in a variety of settings; including day treatment and residential treatment programs, a children’s hospital, corrections, community mental health, schools and home-based treatment. I provide trauma-informed care and address issues surrounding anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationships, parenting, life transitions, domestic abuse and healthy coping skills. I am client-centered and strengths-based and aim to guide my clients to empower themselves to reach their full potential in their own lives.
