Amanda Ives

Amanda Ives is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides a warm and compassionate environment for her clients to encourage growth and change. With a background in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Amanda has a strong foundation in mental health and community wellness. She believes in a holistic strengths-based approach to therapy, empowering and supporting her clients. Amanda is trauma-informed and takes into consideration each client’s unique needs and experiences to create a welcoming and safe space. Operating from a feminist perspective, she utilizes empathic listening, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theories, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. Cultural sensitivity is also a priority for Amanda, as she is multiculturally aware and incorporates it within the therapeutic process.
