Ashley Weiss-Wright is a licensed Certified Clinical Social Worker, eligible to practice therapy in the state of California. She holds a Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from Cal State Long Beach and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Azusa Pacific University. With over a decade of experience, Ashley has worked extensively with individuals, parents, children, and adolescents, primarily in the child welfare system and school settings. Her Master’s Degree focused on individual and family therapy in a small community clinic, where she gained expertise in addressing disorders such as depression, anxiety, grief, and attachment trauma, as well as navigating life changes and events. Ashley utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness techniques. By identifying and challenging distorted beliefs and thoughts, clients can create more balanced thoughts, improve their choices, and enhance their feelings about themselves and their environment. Ashley also incorporates behavior modification techniques to help clients consciously change negative behaviors, leading to improved thoughts and emotions. Additionally, she may use strengths-based approaches, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy to best support her clients.
