Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Arkansas. If you're deep in the emotional trenches of life and looking for a way forward, I'm ready to come alongside you. It's hard to find the right words or right way to respond to the people around you when you're operating out of survival mode. I'm here to help you breathe a little easier and start finding better footing in the world again.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in integrative therapy. I believe that sometimes words aren't enough to express our feelings. There maybe times we incorporate other expressive techniques into our sessions so you can feel more understood and less stuck. 03 · What happens next
Aubrey practises through BetterHelp, so the route in is BetterHelp's. This is that sequence, written by Maker Therapy from the platform's published process - not a description of Aubrey's own practice, and not a promise about how quickly anything happens.
BetterHelp opens with a set of questions about what you are dealing with, what you want from therapy, and any preferences on the therapist. You are not booking Aubrey at this point.
BetterHelp matches algorithmically by default, so asking for Aubrey is a step you have to take. There is a field for requesting a specific therapist during sign-up, and you can switch afterwards from your account. Starting from a link on this page does not by itself assign you to Aubrey.
You will be offered somebody else rather than put on a waitlist. Worth knowing, because it is easy to assume a match is the person you asked for.
A first session is typically history and orientation: what brought you, what has been tried, what you want to be different. It is also where the questions in the next section belong.
