About Barbara George's service

I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of Utah. I have a variety of experience working in hospital emergency rooms, medical floors and inpatient behavioral health units. For 10 years I co-facilitated Grief Support Groups for families who have had a loved one die. I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at University of Phoenix and my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Weber State University. My favored approach with individuals is Client Centered and Solution Focused. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques to help clients bring balance back into their life. At the root of my practice I hope to provide clients with a safe, healing and growth oriented space where they can feel welcome and understood. The client will identify the therapeutic goals they would like to work on and together we can work on the barriers that may be standing in their way.
