About Barbara Pettibone's service

I’m a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Colorado. I’ve been in the field of mental health counseling for over 40 years (I can hardly believe this!) and work with young adults, adults and seniors. My experience has been in both inpatient psychiatric hospitals and outpatient settings. I love my work and feel blessed to have found it. My specialty is work with seniors, particularly in addressing the many changes that come with aging u2014 including loss, relationship changes, coping with health, etc. I strongly believe that the client is the boss in therapy. You are hiring me to help you. Together, we identify the problem(s) you are presenting and the goals to help alleviate those problems. I am honest, forthright, warm and caring. While you are who will help you get better, I will be there to support you. My treatment approaches are varied. – I like to say that I use whatever works, whether that is insight oriented therapy, mindfulness, behavioral, grief work, etc. I’m here to join you in your journey to health and can’t wait to meet you! Let’s begin!
