Brandon Barton

Brandon Barton, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in New York, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his practice. With a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh, Brandon has worked extensively with adults, couples, individuals, and families. His expertise extends to crisis unit in-patient behavioral health, having worked in crisis stabilization units for both adults and children in Fort Myers, Florida, and Plattsburgh, NY. Brandon has also gained valuable experience in a Neuropsychology Clinic and the Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Center (ADAC), where he played a pivotal role in developing group programs for clients. Passionate about understanding the various phenomena that impact humans, Brandon has actively participated in research studies exploring the experiences of diverse individuals. He presented the results of a quantitative study on minority Jewish women immigrants in Canada at the McGill University Education Graduate Student Society. Additionally, Brandon has presented at the North Eastern Evolutionary Psychological Society (NEEPS) on the effects of life defeat and victory on mood and attachment patterns.
