Carlos Duarte (LCSW)

My name is Carlos Duarte and I am a licensed clinical social worker and practicing psychotherapist. My clinical experiences range from providing individual psychotherapy to adults in outpatient mental health clinics, to providing psychosocial assessment and crisis intervention in outpatient psychiatric hospitals. I also have experience working with our homeless population across LA County, providing outreach, mental health evaluations, and referrals to community resources and appropriate levels of mental health treatment. I earned my MSW (master in social work) with an emphasis in mental health and community organizing from University of Southern California (USC) in 2016. My approach when working with all clients is strengths-based and client centered. I value the person-in-environment perspective, so I can better understand my clients and their mental health in the context of their environment, and not just through their behavior and psyche. Whether you are experiencing a life transition, grieving, or need some support to get through daily life, I look forward to the possibility of working with you and supporting you on your journey.
