About Dr. Carolyn Greenleaf's service

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I’ve worked as psychotherapist and crisis interventionist in the Dallas Metro area since 1979. I work with clients presenting with a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, marital and family problems, trauma and stress disorders, post-trautic adjustment disorders, and bereavement. My counseling style is interactive and straight forward. Person-centered and cognitive behavioral theories of psychotherapy are my primary approaches to treatment. Person-centered therapy is used to build and maintain a healthy therapeutic relationship and cognitiv behavioral therapy is used to explore and expose destructive self-defeating thinking and coping behaviors. I also believe humor is the “spoonful of sugar” that helps the medicine go down. Clients tell me I am a kind person. I appreciate that because I genuinely care about others and want to help them when I can.
