Charles Putnam

Charles Putnam, a licensed therapist (LCSW), has been in private practice for over twenty years. With a background in the financial industry and a degree in Business Administration, Charles made the decision to become a licensed therapist after realizing his unfulfillment with a sole focus on chasing money. In 1995, he obtained a Masters in Social Work and became licensed as a private practitioner in 1998. Charles is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is currently nationally certified in Hypnotherapy. Additionally, he is the founder and director of a non-profit company that serves the disabled and homeless populations. While he enjoys his work with the non-profit, Charles is passionate about working with individuals to help them achieve their goals in life. He specializes in areas such as grief and loss, loss of meaning in life, young adult issues, career and mid-life crises, as well as depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and geriatric issues. Charles takes a humanistic approach to therapy, using techniques such as Person Centered, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral, Gestalt, and Solution Focused Therapies. He is also an EMDR practitioner and often incorporates hypnotherapy in his practice to uncover hidden factors influencing conscious thoughts and emotions
