Dawn Brumfield (LISW)

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio with 26 years of clinical experience counseling people of all ages who struggle with various concerns and mental health challenges. I draw from a variety of treatment approaches and have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), both of which offer hands-on skills to help you navigate the challenges of daily life, manage mental health symptoms and improve interpersonal relationships. I take a humanistic and client-centered approach, which honors the inherent dignity and worth of each person and recognizes the importance of providing a safe and open environment in which you can share thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear of judgment. I specialize in trauma treatment and am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
