Debra Belanger (LCSW)

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 14 years experience providing individual counseling in Louisiana. I have worked with clients who have a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, low self esteem, family of origin issues, personality disorders, and substance abuse/addictiona. I also worked with clients who have experienced childhood abuse, adulthood abuse, emotional abuse, and other victims/survivors of crime. My counseling style is client centered. I believe in treating every client with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion. . My therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive counseling, and dialectal behavior therapies. Sessions will be centered around the self identified individual needs of the client. We are not always responsible for challenges that occur in our lives, but we are responsible for learning to cope and/or solve them . Making changes can be scary and difficult.
