Welcome, I am so glad you are here. My name is Elisabeth and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado. I offer a very strengths-based, client centered approach to therapy and would be honored to be a part of your journey. My clinical experiences brought me to an inpatient psychiatric unit in Chicago, a fellowship in Psycho-Social Rehabilitation and Recovery at the VA in Little Rock, and to Denver as an integrated behavioral health clinician in a primary care clinic. I grew up in Michigan, had a short stint as a second grade teacher, joined the Peace Corps, and completed my Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Chicago. My background and clinical experiences helped me recognize the value of relationships and my primary goal is to get to know you and help support you. It is incredibly important to me be always be authentic, genuine, warm, and humorous – when it is appropriate. The majority of my clinical work is based on brief, short-term, solution focused therapy where I implement pieces of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, mindfulness, reflective listening, and goal-oriented therapeutic strategies in my sessions. I have experience working with behavioral changes, trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and periods of adjustments. I hope that together we can create a space for growth and transformation, and I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.
