Erin Mobley

I am a licensed counselor in Colorado with five years of experience. I have been able to engage in counseling with all ages and diverse populations and have worked with many differing problems. I have worked with issues that include sexuality, suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, anger management, healthy relationships, bipolar disorder, couples counseling, family counseling, women’s empowerment, domestic violence, communication skills, and trauma. I believe in the importance of a safe and comfortable relationship between counselor and client. I like to take a person centered approach which allows me to see the client as their own expert and me as the guide to help them find and implement changes for a healthier and happier life. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy and EMDR when helpful for the client to process and discover ways to increase happiness. I believe that honesty is important to build a healthy relationship and encourage you to share your feelings openly and without judgement as you feel comfortable doing so. I know that I start as a stranger and opening up may take some time so I promise to provide a supportive environment if you as the client will promise to open up more as you become more comfortable. I also encourage clients to advocate for a change in treatment if my approach or personality is not working for them. I look forward to meeting with you!
