Dr. Ernest Middleton

Dr. Ernest Middleton is a highly experienced and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri. With over twenty-five years in the helping professions, Dr. Middleton has taken a nontraditional career path, excelling in the fields of Education, Administration, Consulting, and Counseling. His work in the counseling profession has been both tremendous and rewarding, as he has successfully assisted clients in resolving concerns such as anxiety, stress, self-concept, self-esteem, and parent issues. Dr. Middleton’s interactive, compassionate, and respectful style serves as an effective catalyst, enabling clients to find answers and develop a healthy emotional skill set when faced with problems. He utilizes various psychological modalities, including Reality Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring the treatment plan to meet each individual’s specific needs. Dr. Middleton holds a Ph.D. in Student Personnel Services from Ohio University, a Doctorate in Christian Counseling from Faith Bible College, a Master of Science in Student Personnel Services and Counseling from Miami University, a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Miami University, and an Educational Specialist from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
