Gary Santorella

Gary Santorella is a highly experienced therapist whose training is focused on brief cognitive-behavioral therapy. With an emphasis on the present moment, Gary helps clients understand how their learned behaviors are impacting their current situations and guides them in developing new ways of thinking and behaving to overcome challenges. He is particularly effective with clients who have specific goals they want to achieve and will collaborate with them to create a game plan and measurable objectives. In addition to his therapy practice, Gary is a Lean implementation specialist and has been an executive coach for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in helping individuals improve their leadership and people skills, as well as resolving difficult workplace issues. Gary’s background also includes working as a hospital social worker in San Francisco during the AIDS epidemic, where he provided support to clients coping with severe illnesses and making challenging decisions for themselves and their loved ones. He has expertise in treating trauma victims and has published a paper on counseling interventions for healthcare workers exposed to HIV. Furthermore, Gary is the author of the professional book “Lean Culture for the Construction Industry: Building Committed and Responsible Teams,” published by Taylor & Francis.
