What Isaac says about the work

Reproduced in full and unedited - not summarised, not tightened, not rewritten in a house voice.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I believe that people have the ability to grow, change, and improve their lives, even when things feel difficult or uncertain. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, better understand yourself, and develop the tools you need to move forward.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 10 years of counseling experience. My journey in mental health began while I was completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology and working as a psychiatric technician in a psychiatric hospital. After earning my master’s degree in clinical psychology, I continued my work in the counseling field, helping individuals navigate a variety of personal and emotional challenges.

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship and dating difficulties, ADHD, low motivation, and major life transitions. I recognize that each person brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges to therapy. Because of this, I tailor my approach to your individual needs and goals rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

My therapeutic approach draws from Adlerian psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Depending on your needs, we may explore patterns that are holding you back, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, build self-confidence, and identify practical steps toward meaningful change.

I view therapy as a collaborative process built on understanding, trust, and personal growth. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting started. Whether you’re feeling stuck, struggling to manage your emotions, navigating relationships, or trying to find direction in life, we can work together to identify your goals and build on your existing strengths.

My hope is that therapy helps you feel more confident in yourself, better equipped to handle life’s challenges, and empowered to create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you.

03 · What happens next

From this page to a first session

Isaac practises through BetterHelp, so the route in is BetterHelp's. This is that sequence, written by Maker Therapy from the platform's published process - not a description of Isaac's own practice, and not a promise about how quickly anything happens.

  1. A questionnaire, not a booking form

BetterHelp opens with a set of questions about what you are dealing with, what you want from therapy, and any preferences on the therapist. You are not booking Isaac at this point.

  2. Naming Isaac specifically

BetterHelp matches algorithmically by default, so asking for Isaac is a step you have to take. There is a field for requesting a specific therapist during sign-up, and you can switch afterwards from your account. Starting from a link on this page does not by itself assign you to Isaac.

  3. If the caseload is full

You will be offered somebody else rather than put on a waitlist. Worth knowing, because it is easy to assume a match is the person you asked for.

  4. The first conversation

A first session is typically history and orientation: what brought you, what has been tried, what you want to be different. It is also where the questions in the next section belong.

  5. If the fit is wrong

Changing therapist on BetterHelp does not need a reason. A first session that does not click is common and is not a verdict on therapy. That option existing is the main practical difference between a platform and a private practice.
