About Jennifer "Jenny" Nelson's service

Hello! I’m Jenny, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Since graduating from IU School of Social work in 2011, my focus has mostly been on those with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues. I have worked with several individuals on the Autism spectrum, as well as individuals with Down’s Syndrome, ADHD, Bi-polar disorder, GAD, among others. I have worked as a behavior therapist for the past 8 years and am looking to continue to help others through additional platforms. I believe it is important to focus on the individual and determine what works best for each person. I tend to focus more on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as utilizing a strength based approach. Overall, I would say I utilize an individualized eclectic approach. Reaching out for help is an incredible sign of strength and I applaud you for making that first step. If you would like me to assist you on that path, feel free to contact me.
