Clear, steady support for trauma, anxiety, identity, and relationship healing: A grounded, compassionate approach to help you understand your story, strengthen what matters, and move toward lasting change.
I’m Jonathan, a licensed professional counselor serving teens, adults, couples, and families across Southwest Michigan. I walk with clients navigating trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, identity questions, relationship conflict, compulsive sexual behaviors, substance misuse, and long‑standing emotional or behavioral patterns. I also support those working through faith questions or spiritual wounds, and I offer Christian counseling for clients who want their beliefs and values integrated into the therapeutic process.
My approach is trauma‑informed, emotionally attuned, and grounded in evidence‑based care. I draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative and Jungian perspectives, and attachment‑based models such as Gottman and ABFT. These methods help clients process painful experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, and build healthier, more resilient patterns in daily life and relationships.
I work in a steady, collaborative way-direct when needed, always respectful of your pace, your values, and your story. Therapy with me is a safe, non‑shaming space where you can explore what’s been weighing on you, understand your emotions with greater clarity, and move toward a more grounded and congruent sense of identity.
Healing is possible. You don’t have to walk this path alone. I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to supporting you in the work ahead.
