Joy Nussen is a highly experienced and licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 30 years of expertise in California and Oregon. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse populations and age groups, helping individuals navigate various challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, addictions, and trauma, including multi-generational trauma. Currently, Joy focuses on providing therapy to adult men and women from different ethnic backgrounds. Through her work in Telehealth, she has realized that regardless of cultural background, we all share the universal needs for purpose, meaning, and value in our lives. Joy’s therapeutic style is warm and engaging, incorporating elements from solution-focused, dialectical behavior, narrative, and experiential therapies. She believes that effective therapy should consider context and be culturally sensitive, taking into account factors such as ethnicity, gender, age, and orientation.
