Kevin Thompson

I have been a professional counselor in Texas for over 12 years. I received my BS in Psychology and MA in Counseling from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. I served as counselor for the mental health community centers in Texas for over 10 years and helped many people with a wide range of mental health challenges. I am also trained in trauma informed care. I worked for 3 years with military personnel and their families on issues related to mental health, family relationships, and military service. My primary tools for counseling are solution focused therapy, cognitive therapy, and helping you to define what constitutes a happy and healthy life while supporting you in achieving it. We can incorporate mindfulness, positive psychology, cognitive therapy, and any number of therapeutic tools to get you to where you feel you want and need to be. All services I provide are client centered and seek to fulfill your needs in a way that provides increased clarity, stability, and a greater sense of peace.
