Dr. Kristi Kanel

Dr. Kristi Kanel is a highly experienced and compassionate Licensed Marital and Family Therapist with over 35 years of experience. She has a diverse background in working with individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a wide range of challenges, including domestic violence, child abuse, trauma, personality disorders, role adjustments, suicide, anxiety, stress, and depression, among others. Dr. Kanel’s extensive training includes expertise in hypnotherapy, existential/humanistic dynamic therapy, family systems and strategic solution-focused therapies, as well as multicultural counseling. She is particularly skilled in working with Spanish-speaking families, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, group counseling, and trauma work through hypnotherapy and dialectal therapies. Dr. Kanel approaches her clients with genuine empathy and humility, recognizing that they hold valuable insights about themselves.
