Kristin Woxholdt

I am a licensed clinical social worker, currently located in New York about 10 years of professional work experience. Some of the areas that I have experience in helping clients with are as follows: stress and anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I aim to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment and also challenged, when appropriate. Treatment modalities will vary, as tailoring treatment plans to each individual client is important. A little about me; I grew up in Connecticut, completed my bachelors degree in New York City and completed graduate school back in Connecticut. I moved to New York City about 7 years ago to pursue my dream of wanting to live in “the big apple”. I have worked in a variety of different clinical settings; group homes, outpatient clinics, boarding schools, and in home therapy. I am currently working with outpatient clients on a part time basis and inpatient psychiatric patient’s on a full time basis. In my free time I enjoy reading, mostly non-fiction magical creature books, I enjoy exercising and staying active, the beach is my happy place during the warmer months and I prioritize traveling as a form of self care. My friends and family are my support system and I work hard to nurture those relationships, while also ensuring that I am nurturing myself. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
