I am an LPC in the state of Texas. I have been in the field of mental health for the past year doing work from local mental health authorities of intensive clients, probationary clients, and out-of-home placements. I have been working with youth and their families for the last 4 years and a wide range of adults since 2016. I received my bachelors degree in 2014 at Texas State University in Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies to which I then proceeded to complete my masters degree in Counselor Psychology from Texas A&M- Kingsville in 2016. During my masters, I completed two thesis for presentations at two difference psychological associations for Stereotype threat and Morality Salience. My goal at the end of my research was to prove that when someone is in put in the face of adversities, we will prevail and succeed, which I proved to be true! My approach to therapy is heavily based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but I do included techniques from DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), Solution-focused, and Person-centered as well. In each session, I like to use my knowledge of each therapeutic technique to fit each client the best and work towards the goals they seek to complete. The art of therapy is to feel welcomed, non-judgmental, and working towards a better version of yourself to which I hope I can be a part of. I look forward to working with you on your journey!
