I am a licensed mental health counselor in New York and Massachusetts with over 10 years of experience providing mental health and addiction counseling to individuals and couples and over 30 years as a holistic healing arts practitioner and teacher of somatic and energy-based therapies that integrate bodywork, counseling, movement, and mindfulness. I have worked in addiction treatment, at college counseling centers, with cancer patients and their families, and at community health centers as well as in private practice. I work with people of diverse ages, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and spiritual traditions with different reasons for seeking therapy, including anxiety, mood disorders, grief, trauma, addictions, serious health problems, relationship issues, life transitions, and explorations of gender, sexuality, spirituality, and meaningful life purpose. Whatever reasons you may have for reaching out at this moment, I am ready to work with you as part of a collaborative relationship in which you feel respected, supported, and free to express your feelings and talk about anything without fear of judgment. I will listen with care to help you identify personal gifts, abilities, and resources you might not be aware of and draw on a variety of therapeutic models and approaches so that together we can effectively meet your needs and goals.
