Dr. Lori Dougherty

Dr. Lori Dougherty is a licensed couples and marriage therapist as well as a substance use counselor with a decade of experience in the field. Specializing in helping clients with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life challenges, and substance use, Dr. Dougherty believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship for healing and recovery. Her approach is centered on inspiring clients to develop new approaches and solutions to address issues in their complex lives. With the belief that clients have the innate ability to heal themselves, Dr. Dougherty sees the therapeutic process as an opportunity for clients to uncover the tools that will support their personal growth. Acting as a guide and coach, she tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs, combining elements of client-centered, dialectical behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing techniques.
