I am licensed in Wisconsin with 27 years of professional work experience. Guided by my belief in the inherent worth of each individual, I focus on helping clients live a more meaningful, satisfying, authentic life by developing a more flexible approach to solving problems or resolving issues. I work with adults as individuals and couples on issues such as personal growth, depression, anxiety/stress, anger management, relationship concerns, LGBTQ+ issues, grief/loss, and coping with changes that occur as one journeys through life. I strive to provide an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared and processed without fear of judgment. When working with clients, I use an eclectic approach. Eclectic therapy is a very versatile psychotherapy that draws from multiple evidence-based therapy approaches in order to select the best treatment for each individual client. Instead of being stuck in one therapy modality, the therapist and client can switch between multiple approaches as appropriate. Some advantages of Eclectic therapy include: The therapy is adapted to the client rather than the client having to fit into a set model It is useful for multiple and complex problems The techniques used are research-based and shown to be effective My availability varies. Although I have made Wednesday afternoons available, I am semi-retired and can schedule for other times, if needed.
