Maria Pulizzo (LPC)

Hi, My name is Maria Pulizzo and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. I graduated from Maryville University in 2007 receiving my masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. I have been working in the mental health and substance use field for 13 years in a community mental health agency providing therapy for 5 years specializing in co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma and substance use. Understanding the need for individuals to have a safe space in which to process thoughts and feeling I use a person-centered approach that is judgment free and solution focused. I use an eclectic approach of therapy models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to assist with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and mood regulation providing a listening ear along with effective interventions that will help ease distress. It takes courage to reach out for help and I am here to help guide and support you on your journey.
