Michelle Fennessy

Michelle Fennessy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Psychology from Mount Holyoke College. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, Michelle understands the courage it takes to seek help and is dedicated to helping her clients heal, transform, and feel better. Having been a client herself during her graduate training, Michelle knows firsthand the initial intimidation of sharing private and painful feelings with a stranger. However, she assures clients that they are not alone and believes that everyone can benefit from therapy. With her experience and expertise, Michelle can see the beauty in each person and aims to provide a safe space for them to open up and address their concerns. Specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and heartbreak, Michelle also works with individuals in “middle marriage” crisis and helps them modify self-destructive behaviors. With personal experience living and working abroad, Michelle is uniquely equipped to address the unique stressors of the ex-patriot life. Her approach is rooted in the Strengths Perspective, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Goal-Oriented Therapy. Michelle is also fascinated by Energy Psychology and believes that a shift to a better feeling thought can positively impact a person’s energy and attract good things into their life
