Michelle Story

Michelle Story is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience as a counselor and life coach. As a 15-year U.S. Navy veteran, Michelle brings a unique perspective to her work in the state of Virginia. She has successfully worked with clients facing various concerns, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. Michelle specializes in helping individuals who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse, including the particularly insidious form of mistreatment known as Narcissistic Abuse. Michelle’s counseling style is direct and interactive, focusing on treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, without stigmatizing labels. She combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling approaches to tailor each dialogue and treatment plan to meet her clients’ specific needs. Michelle understands that seeking help for life’s complicated issues takes courage, and she is dedicated to supporting and empowering her clients throughout their journey towards positive change.
