Hi! You have made the first step on a new journey and I am here to support you in that process. I know talking to a stranger can be a bit unnerving. So, let me introduce myself. I’m Michelle Stroebel (they/she). I have been practicing as a counselor for over five years now and in the mental health field for about 25 years. My journey started when I received my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Gardner Webb University. During that time, I worked in multiple roles in mental health, ranging from direct care to supervisory and even in state Medicaid policy and administration. I later earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Montreat College. I have also returned to school can am currently working on a Doctor of Behavioral Health. I have worked as a psychotherapist both online and in private practice. I also provide consultation and training on brain health. I have experience working with people struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, executive function dysfunction, and life stressors. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ community. I believe that everyone deserves to be loved and understood. I am passionate about helping others heal, and my therapeutic approach consists of mindfulness, energy healing, person-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based therapies. I am a reiki practitioner with a heavy focus on energy and the brain-body connection. However, I meet the needs of clients on an individual, case-by-case basis. I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with you. Specialties Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Executive Dysfunction, and Transgender experiences. Also experienced in: LGBTQ, Trauma, Self-esteem, Career difficulties, Coping with life changes, Coaching, ADHD, Self-love, and Autism Spectrum.
