Hello! My name is Miranda and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: outpatient therapy, partial psychiatric hospitalization, day treatment services, and therapeutic foster care in the Oklahoma City metro area. I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. I received my undergraduate degree and my Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma in Norman. My approach to therapy is client centered: you are the expert on your life and determine the direction and depth of the therapy. Through a strengths-based and solution-focused lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships between thoughts, feelings and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I support clients through developing skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation with the goal of moving clients towards a life where they can experience joy and freedom. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, baking, painting, and spending time with my family. If you would like to schedule with me, but do not see a time that works for you, please message me. I often have additional times that are not on the schedule.
