Nancy Truett

Nancy Truett, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP), is a highly experienced therapist with over 20 years of expertise in counseling, clinical mental health, and substance abuse treatment. Throughout her career, Ms. Truett has worked with various populations and age groups in diverse settings, including agency, private practice, K-12, and college environments. Her extensive background includes working with adolescent male sex offenders in residential treatment, alternative school high school students, and adults in residential treatment for substance abuse. Ms. Truett is a trauma-informed clinician certified in EMDR and currently serves as the Director of Counseling Services at a community college. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Psychology-Community & Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee and a BA in Literature-Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina. Ms. Truett frequently incorporates arts-based approaches in her counseling practice.
