Nancy Valdes is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience in the field. She obtained her Master in Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany and has worked with adults in various settings including home-based, outpatient mental health clinics, crisis units, and correctional facilities. Nancy is skilled in using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to address issues such as depression, anxiety, life changes, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and trauma. She believes in working collaboratively with her clients to determine the most effective therapeutic approach and techniques for their unique healing journey. Nancy values the importance of building a strong therapeutic connection and believes that transparency is essential for achieving clients’ goals. Outside of her work, Nancy enjoys practicing meditation, reading, cooking, journaling, exploring different cuisines, traveling, and recently, gardening.
