Norma Owens-Hixon

Norma Owens-Hixon is a highly experienced and dedicated therapist with a passion for facilitating positive growth and enriching the lives of others. She earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida and is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. With 15 years of full-time experience at Northeast Florida State Hospital, Norma has a strong background in both clinical counseling and mental health program analysis. She has also worked as a Child Protective Investigator, Family Service Counselor, and Independent Contract Therapist with the Department of Juvenile Justice through Daniel Kids. Norma adopts an eclectic approach to counseling, drawing from a variety of therapeutic techniques to create individualized treatment plans for her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and has a strong appreciation for arts and music.
