With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I am committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, practical strategies, and evidence-based care. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, or relationship difficulties, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and personal growth can begin.
My career has allowed me to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of settings. I have extensive experience helping individuals recover from trauma, manage mental health concerns, overcome substance use challenges, and rebuild their lives. I've supported clients as they developed independent living skills, secured employment, and regained confidence after difficult life experiences.
I have also worked extensively with abused and neglected children and their families, providing crisis intervention, trauma informed care, and support through reunification and permanency planning. Throughout my career, I have served in leadership roles overseeing behavioral health programs, crisis response, and multidisciplinary teams, giving me a broad understanding of the unique challenges people face during times of stress and transition.
My counseling style is compassionate, collaborative, and strength based. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while tailoring treatment to meet each client's unique needs and goals. Together, we work to develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting changes.
Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and LPC Supervisor, my passion for helping others began while working in a nursing home as a teenager. That experience taught me the value of listening with empathy and treating every person with dignity, principles that continue to guide my work today.
Seeking therapy is a courageous first step, and you do not have to face life's challenges alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward the life you want. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and wellness.
