Hello. My name is Stephanie. I have been in healthcare and mental health for 35 years, 10 years in nursing, and 25 in counseling and therapy. I have been a high-risk labor and delivery nurse, a school district health director, an at-risk program developer, and a mental health counselor/therapist for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and special needs and their parents. I now work primarily with an adult population. My experience has given me a broad understanding of people dealing with difficult issues and stressors in their lives. I am experienced in helping individuals with change, adjustment, esteem, anxiety, trauma, and depression, and parenting. I am kind, gentle, empathic, positive, funny and a good listener. I am also serious, thoughtful wholistic, client-centered, and solution-focused. My goal as a therapist is to help you find solutions to the Issues (problems) that have brought you to counseling. I want to help guide you through the process of determining the relevant issues, your wants and needs, and identifying skills and techniques to build solutions that can continue to serve you through, not only the immediate problem, but throughout life as well. My goal is to empower you through life’s challenges, transitions and growth.
