Teresa Lewis is a highly experienced therapist with over 20 years of experience working with patients of all ages. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Montana in 1996 and went on to earn her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2003. With a diverse background in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and psychological inpatient settings, Teresa believes in a person-centered counseling approach, where her clients can feel a sense of respect and autonomy. Her experience as a medical social worker further enhances her ability to work with individuals with comorbid diseases. Teresa is well-versed in cognitive behavioral therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also offers Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for clients suffering from anxiety, panic, PTSD, or trauma, providing them a way to overcome their past experiences. Additionally, Teresa utilizes motivational interviewing skills, rational emotive behavioral therapy, and has extensive experience working with addictions and co-occurring disorders.
