Tonya Osmond

Tonya Osmond is a licensed professional counselor with a Masters Degree in Counseling from Virginia Tech, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Counselor Education from the University of Maryland, and a Doctorate in Higher Education from Morgan State University. With 25 years of experience, Tonya has a passion for the mental health field and takes pride in being part of her clients’ journey of transformation. She is dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life transitions related to relationships, parenting, workplace and career issues, and grief and loss. Tonya specializes in treating adults and adolescents 13+ with various mental health and adjustment issues such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She takes a person-centered and holistic approach, considering clients’ individual development and using an integrative approach to customize a treatment plan that works best for each client. Tonya often incorporates CBT and strengths-based therapy to help clients identify goals and develop solutions that are meaningful to them. Her diverse client base includes individuals and couples of all ages, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and sexual orientations. Tonya considers it a privilege to witness her clients’ discovery process as they identify their definition of success and move forward to achieving their goals and dreams.
