I am currently employed as a Behavioral Specialist , Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years and my background in dual diagnosis clients. Most of my clients have both mental health and substance abuse issues. The population of clients, I have worked with throughout the years, have a a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, paranoia and delusional behaviors. I also have experienced working with physical and sexual trauma, emotional abuse and substance abuse and addiction. My approach to counseling is open and non- judgemental. The key to be an effective counselor is to treat everyone with dignity respect, and compassion. My approach to counseling combines cognitive-behavioral, reality and person centered counseling. Your treatment plan is catered to your specific need and concerns. It takes a lot insight and courage to allow yourself to look pass your vulnerability and seek the help that you need to make your life better.
