I am a licensed clinical social worker in Idaho and Hawaii with years of experience working as a readjustment counselor at a VA Vet Center, case manager for VA homeless program, and community engagement coordinator for public health for the past 12 years. I also served in the Navy for 8 years as a FMF Corpsman with marine corps units and at the Naval Academy clinic working with mental health issues . I love working with individuals, couples, and groups in therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including crisis, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, warzone trauma, and sexual trauma. I also helped many who have experienced issues navigating the Veterans Affairs system and advocating for my fellow veterans. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and strength-based. I am always learning about different therapy approaches and will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you and assist in any way I can. I look forward to working with you!
