Amberly Fix

Amberly Fix is a licensed clinical social worker with over 7 years of experience in the field. She obtained her master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington and her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Amberly specializes in working with clients who are facing communication issues, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidality, social issues, isolation, abandonment, trauma, and self-harm. She also assists adults in navigating parenting challenges, such as communication issues at home, blended families, multi-household families, and single-parent families. Amberly has worked in a variety of settings, including client’s homes, through telehealth, and in inpatient settings with clients diagnosed with severe mental disorders. Her counseling interventions are client-centered and strengths-focused, utilizing therapeutic approaches such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness therapy.
