Welcome to BetterHelp. I’m glad you’re here. The reality is that you’re looking for a counselor for a particular reason; the most important question in therapy isn’t why, but what do you want? I am a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting people through many of life’s expected and unexpected challenges. Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings—veterans hospital, domestic violence shelters, rehab centers, and a nonprofit—offering water before the intake as a simple act of care. I’ve learned that behavior and hospitality are languages we all understand. I support people who have faced childhood abuse and neglect, anxiety, depression, PTSD, CPTSD, mood disorders, work/life balance struggles, co-dependency, and the complexities of modern and military life, along with their families. I typically work Monday through Saturday, between 11:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. EST, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. I understand your internal alarm may be ringing, telling you this feels new and overwhelming, but many have walked this path before, and the therapists at BetterHelp want to help. It would be an honor to support you in becoming the fullest version of yourself because, no matter what you’ve been through or are facing, you deserve to feel whole and human. I look forward to working with you and for you. Sincerely, Bryan Young, LPC
